32 bit and 64 bit benchmark test using open source mesa gallium linux library. As you can see, graphically it looks amazing, there are no graphics errors, artefacts, missing shaders, textures. On the other hand there is performance issue. It doesn't run of course as fast as proprietary driver from AMD yet.
Software:
- Gentoo Linux 64 bit & 32 bit
- Kernel 3.0.0-rc3
- OpenGL Mesa 7.12-dev (Gallium 0.4) the latest git
- libdrm 2.4.25
- resolution 1440x900
Hardware:
- AMD Athlon X2 4200 - 2633 MHz,
- 3 GB RAM
- AMD/ATI Radeon HD 4850 512 MB
wow their really coming along well! I'm surprized its able to run this at all let alone with no visual artefacts. Last I checked (which was a long time ago) the fglrx drivers ran this slow.
