What shocking story, simply appalling! I know of people who have been falsley accused of the same thing and their lifes were ruined even after being found innocent and yet the man who abused this young woman is free to walk around. the statement about not remembering is a confession if ever I heard one. I am sorry but he should have been locked up and charged then and there. As a parent and an abuse survivor I have no sympathy for someone who would harm a child.
What a Brave Person you are. So many children suffer the same abuse as you with no justice and that is a crime. NEVER give up! Stand tall for what is right and you and others will succeed.
Thank you so very much to Mr. Robert McCulloch for NOT protecting children in Missouri - they are not only being abused by their abuser but by the very legal system that was set up to PROTECT them...McCulloch plays many wonderful games of smoke & mirrors to make it APPEAR he is doing his job but his record doesn't show that and now there are REAL children suffering REAL NIGHTMARES...with no JUSTICE...the stories are countless unfortunately...
The passage of the Victims Rights amendment was intended to make things better for victims as far as notification and participation in criminal cases. It only works if prosecutors file charges on these sex cases and follow the statutes regarding victim notification.
Elected prosecutors enjoy something called Prosecutorial Discretion. Prosecutors have sole authority to make charging decisions. They can even file charges and dismiss without explanation. No one governs the prosecutor except the voters.I hear of several jurisdictions where prosecutors rarely act on sex offenses. Brenda Porter > Chief, Victim Services Division > 573-751-1338
