My aussie shepherd Cody playing with my white ferret Oberon. He treats them like they are puppies and they treat him like a giant ferret pal. No fear at all. Towards the end watch Puck sneak up on Cody from under the rug.

If you add &fmt=18 to the url and relaunch it's easier to see Puck sneaking up. Their little animal sounds come through clearer too. Cody likes to vocalize with them especially.

7-27-09 My beloved white ferret Oberon passed away today, in my arms, with his head against my heart. He was the absolutely sweetest little guy. Never ever biting and always ready for a short cuddle. I will miss him enormously.

  • That's the biggest ferret I've ever seen!

  • Oberon was big but not oversized like some ferrets I've seen. Maybe you mean Cody. As far as the other ferrets are concerned Cody is one of them so in a way he is a giant ferret. His only problem with them is they gang up on him and he likes to play with just one at a time. He's a sweetie though and backs off to let them expend their energies on each other instead of him.

  • They look like they are allot of fun to have around!! Thanks for the laugh!!*****Duke

  • Thanks for taking a look Duke. Hope you got to see my latest addition Sage in his debut "Aspen and Sage, more ferrets at play". They truly are are a hoot and a half.

  • That is so cute. I miss my aussie. I had one and he passed away 5 years ago, they said from a birth defect of the kidneys. You have a beautiful aussie.

  • Well DB, I'm so sorry for the loss of your adored Aussie. They are a great breed. Intelligent, loving, extremely devoted to their "shepherd" and pretty too. Rescued him from the pound when he was 1yo. Can't tell ya how many people want my Cody to be a girl because of his colorful brindle coat. The white ferret who he is playing with was my beloved Oberon. A real sweetheart too. My other ferrets and I are still getting over not having him around. I've OK'd your friend request.

  • I didn't realize that Oberon was not with you any longer. I am so sorry for your loss as well. I know you will not ever forget Oberon. Time does help. Thank-you for accepting my friend request.

  • Hi DrfeelgoodEH,

My littles are a gas. A simple slice of life and play. Glad you enjoyed it. Thanks to Yogaduke for turning me on to your work.

  • Just enjoy videos like this one

  • Yvette,

That was quite a moniker for such a small animal. But who am I to talk. I name my ferrets after characters in A Midsummer Nights Dream.

Yeah, Bambi can be very cute but hoofs and horns can be lethal. I'd rather keep my respectful distance. I'm sure most of them prefer that too.
