Getting back to the topic, I was trying to imply that while heterosexual couples (of those you do not consider 'stomp' worthy) can show simple affection to one another (like holding hands), many of my gay friends are unable to do so, for fear of intolerance/disgust from the public. May I stress that while there are GLBTQ-friendly people in the community, there are many who are still intolerant of queers. I'm hoping that one day, these beautiful friends of mine can express themselves freely.

@theunraveler Being socially unaccepted for being gay is what many of my gay friends face. They are unable to express themselves openly in public, and most feel repressed by the general social mentality. It's not just physical abuse like gay bashing that will hurt a person. There's the social, mental and psychological aspects of intolerance.
