Jack had a few days off for the 4th of July and he took time to visit. As usual, when he visits, we record a few songs for YouTube. We "shifted the pulse" on this song and played it more in the Southern Gospel style. We hope you enjoy it.

  • I really liked the closeups of the keyboards. Great playing. Thanks!

  • @bearcat4020 Thanks! The piano player's son was with us when we recorded and he operated the camera. Normally we just put it on a trypod and aim and shoot.

  • I Would Buy CD'S if you make them

  • @parksbam1 We have thought about making a CD. (Not enough time) I am somewhat illiterate on things you can do on the computer but I have been told that you can burn CD's from the soundtrack of YouTube clips. I don't know how to do that but I have the sound tracks of the songs I have put on YouTube. If you wan't, you can give me your address and I will send you a CD and only charge what it cost me for the CD, case, and postage. I would leave off the non gospel songs as a CD want hold all songs

  • @The2010SnowDay Laurens didn't like the Leslie speaker either. Don Leslie who invented the speaker had to make and market the speaker himself. It became so popular with the Hammond that eventually they were used in the Hammond. I think the Hammond X77 was the first Hammond that was made to use the Leslie speaker. Thanks for the comment.

  • @southerncrescent1401 It's ironic that this great music is the one of the first things associated with the hammond, when in fact Laurens hammond hated this music! Along with Jazz, Blues, Theatre organ, and everything else the Hammond is associated with. He built it for classical wich few use it for.

  • @johnsobe7 Thanks for the comment. You're right! I cannot imagine southern gospel with any other type of organ.

  • Couldn't sound any better than southern gospel style. Hammond's were almost made for it.

  • Sorry Joe further to my last post, I notice you hace posted a recording of this on the Baldwin organ.

Still a good gospel Hymn and well worth a listen, even if we have been for the cleansing power, better stil if it leads someone to be "washed in the blood of the Lamb" and be safe for eternity.
