Of spirit dust
(english sonnet)

Though I from dusts whirled up to make this flesh
From grey and scattered mists of cloudy skies
The terror lighting struck to mix this mesh
that need and want do drive alone mine eyes

Yet all is not what gold it shines to be
And eyes will guide to deaths of passions newly born
But what shall I to this fool touch carry
That he my heat would not so quickly scorn

Im called a single name by strangers all
Now do you look so deep inside to see
The several selves I fight to bind with raw
And mighty reasons high abstract decree.

Build towers high and passion burn them down,
For we are dreams hid under reasons gown.

  • yeah vocal volume is low, we did the whole album and film in three days (had to fly the guys in, time pressure etc..) on the audio CD (not yet finished) its much easier to grasp the words...if you click the arrow above it scrolls down and the words to the Sonnet are there...thanks for the input!!!! YouTube ROCKS

  • Album and film on the way - looking for the right record label - does anyone have good contacts to the famous jazz / experimental record label ECM Records????

  • Such sensitivity

Thank you Paul for bringing such important work to a greater public and to Andrew for lifting the words off the static page and to Roshan for weaving it all magically together with his beautiful flamenco guitar.

  • "For we are dreams hidden under reason's gown." So many possible meanings. Is reason afraid of the irrationality of dreams? Are dreams just naturally hidden, even if they define us more than does reason? Do we use reason to cloak what we are? So many possibilities.

I wish that I had a better understanding of musical theory so that I could say more than just that the music seems to perfectly complement the words.

  • Brilliant work, wonderful collaboration! Bravo!

  • That is amazing! Vocals were a bit soft though...do you have the poetry anywhere? I'd love to read it so I know what he said! I caught most of it though...beautiful! Good job!
