I totally didn't know the answer (but I'm Canadian, so I have an excuse!) But I agree that the 'tough' questions in this episode were strangely easy. The Daily Double with 'Weimar' as the answer... what was THAT all about?
Don't even try this, I'm tired of people generalizing Americans. I'll admit I mostly know German history through general European history (like through the Reformation-Martin Luther, the World Wars), and fittingly the clues pertained to that. How much do Germans know about American history.
Well, here's the thing...if you know the category SO WELL, you can try risking everything...if you're ok with the category, wager about 1/2 your amount, and if you're horrible at it, risk just a little...
Yeah, the thing is they all guessed the same and seemed to be pretty certain about having the right answer. I would have wagered everything. But then what do I know, I can't get on jeopardy : )
So if they don't know the answer, they wouldn't risk TOO MUCH money...even though if you get the question right, and still wager small amounts or more, that's a smart way to do...

wow that was anti-climactic. For such a smart woman, I can't believe she said orange. I'm 17 and I know that it was purple!

That might've been the single easiest Final Jeopardy in history. And Karen was an outstanding player otherwise. Weird.

If only Karen had boned up on U.S. History, she would have won.

Orange? Really?

You see if you took U.S. History, that Final Jeopardy! would be easy.
