The Promise of the Master

This is the very 1st song I ever wrote as far as I can remember. I wrote a lot of my earlier songs during the late '90's & early 2000's on the front porch swing at my Dad's house. I always found some great inspiration swinging back and forth and just noodling around on my guitar.

I remember there was a bright rainbow the day I wrote this song. The words somehow just came from seeing it. It used to take me a couple of days to write a song, but now I can usually churn one out in around 10 or 15 minutes depending on if I'm in the songwriting mood or not.

I like to try and capture the lyrics in one sitting if possible; that way the song is fresh in my mind and I don't have to come back to it later after it's had time to sit and stale.
