DONT YOU PEOPLE GET IT? The Griswolds wanted to buy what they thought was real italian fashion....but we're talking ABOUT the GRISWOLDS! You can clearly see every other italian in the street when they come out of the store is dressed fairly normal, whereas the Griswolds some how do it again and make an ass of themselves. This why they gave this scene a montage. And they did it perfect with this song.

this song kicks ass, and i somehow remember rusty's white jacket peeps wearing that around and audrey(daughter) her wierd outfit kindof on american bandstand on saturday mornings LOL but it was so 1984-1985ish. love it. all they needed was more mullets

The woman playing Audrey was a diabetic. From what I know, they tend to carry weight at the midsection, instead of a distributiion of weight throughout the body. Unfortunately, she passed away at a very young age due to her condition ( she contracted it as a juvenile, which most often has nothing to do with an unhealthy lifestyle) =(
