Hm...so leicht Nico-mäßig angehaucht, allerdings nur so ganz ganz leicht...
-

I agree with the previous posts. Absolutely scary vocals...

Gnade Schwester, Gnade! Bitte hör auf zu singen, bitte, bitte!
Mercy sister, mercy! Please stop singing, please, please!

By the way, the song has nothing to to with the poet or the band Hölderlin which sounds quite different. It's a tribute to the Sisters of Mercy and was written in memory of their first concert in Bremen (Schlachthof, November 8, 1984).

The song is taken from the CD "Friss oder stirb" by The Scarlet Letter (from Bremen, Germany). You can still buy it via Amazon. The singer's name is Hella Streicher.

Babylon's children at the side of the road / Where do they come from / Beaten, depressed and stony-broke / Where do they go to / Where do they come from / Where and why /Every day is just the same / Buzzed and dull and delirious // But the Sisters of Mercy / Are coming to town again / They sing about darkness, death and treason / To be a comfort to the lost / A light in the dark / And they're knocking on heaven's door / Escaping these times
(The second verse and refrain are very similar.)
