A simple rendering test of my Ultramarines Venerable Dreadnought. Base textures and simple light rig. I am working out a good walk cycle and I wanted to check the cloth and joint simulations as well.

Original design by Simon Egan and Will Hayes, of Foreworld.co.uk

  • nice, but.. it is firing blinded? i mean, it doesn't aim

anyway really good job, i like it ^^

  • @theleoita90 The firing part is just a test to see if I could get the shell casings to come out the right way. It is a particle system that sometimes did not play nice.

  • what exactly are you planning on doing with this? it looks great already, all you need is some tracer fire, some sound, a background and a couple of bloodthirsting champions to challenge him

  • @ilbngz He will be fighting a squad of Stealth Suit Tau.

  • This was a test video so I did not do tracer fire.

I'm sorry about your post when I clicked reply it hit remove. Stupid Mouse!

  • That's probably one of the best walking animations for a dreadnought I've seen.

  • Thank you. It is really rudimentary, I plan on doing a lot more with him.

  • Cool story bro.

  • @NeonFlash inoright. but really they use heavy bolts so they DONT have to aim lol.

  • Very nice modeling and animation, probs best walk animation on youtube, but it shud be waaay slower cause of it's shear size and weight.

  • @NeonFlash yes but to the enemy i assume..

  • @theleoita90

Dreadnoughts? Aim? what are you saying you mad man/woman xD

When they have assault cannons they're expected to just swing back n forth holding the trigger

  • @theleoita90 To be honest, I always picture Dreadnoughts (and all automatic weapon-armed Space Marines to a lesser extent) adopting something of a "Spray and Pray" attitude

  • your dreadnought seams to be leaking shells?

  • needs a muzzle flash.

  • Really good work, and I like the walk cycle - it's very sturdy and strong- keep it up

  • Like "I own the place bitches!"
