Gruene, Texas

First of all, its green, not grewin. Second, it hasnt changed much since 1872. Well, now there are paved streets. Gruene was founded in 1872 by a German immigrant named Ernst Gruene. He built what we enjoy today as a cotton farm. But the depression and boll weevils ended his farming. Now, over 100 years later, you can enjoy the town that still carries his name. Greune bosts shops, restaurants, the legendary Gruene Hall and more history than you could shake a stick at.
