Mozambique - video footage of VSO's HIV & AIDS work - Part 2

VSO has produced a new video highlighting our work with a partner organisation, Reencontro.

As part of our RAISA (Regional AIDS Initiative of Southern Africa) programme in Mozambique, VSO and Reencontro run income-generation projects and provide vocational training in areas such as sewing and carpentry to help HIV positive women and men earn a living.

RAISA is a four-year initiative seeking to strengthen the response to the HIV & AIDS pandemic in Southern Africa. It aims to join forces with government institutions and civil society organisations to provide effective prevention, treatment, care and advocacy for people affected by HIV & AIDS, and to mitigate the personal, social and economic impact of the pandemic.

I worked in Mozambique for the Ministry of Education in Massangulu school it had been Africa's Mai Lai a mass murder the story I was told .the colonialists had attacked the mission school with Helicopter gunships in the war,I lived in 83 in the school for 4 month as the war continued along a frontier 1000 miles long with RENAMO100,000 child soldiers attacking villages ,schools, farms,roads. trains,I cherish the people of Africa's gift to me, respect affection and trust God bless Africa
