Happy Birthday Angel Ellie Belly and Amazing Grace Potvin

October 31st 2010 Ellie and Grace Potvin celebrate their 9th birthday apart from each other for the first time. Ellie gained her angel wings June 23rd 2010 after a two year courageous battle against childhood cancer (stage IV Rhabdomyosarcoma relapsed), she imagined Heaven as a beach where she could play finally free from any pain. Ellie is now watching over her family, Amy, Tim and amazing twin sister Grace.

Dear Amy,
thanks to Holly I can finally write you what I kept into my heart while following your sweet Ellie courageous journey through childhood cancer. First of all, you truly are a hero to me, your strenght, your kindness and sweetness are qualities that I really admire. Ellie has changed my life. I know that probably you have heard this words many times before but this is indeed how I feel. I found Ellie's caringbridge site while sourching some informations about another type of cancer which unfortunately I'm concerned about since the beginning of 2010. Reading everyday about Ellie's life, watching her photos and videos where she and Grace enjoyed themselves singing and playing at the beach, gave me strenght. It was really something I needed to do everyday and now I miss your words sometimes. You gave me the possibility of meeting and knowing you and all your beautiful family, and now I just feel like I really know you and I miss Ellie deeply.
I really want to thank you for all you have done for me, even not knowing it.
