This Sunday, April 5 the Medhane Alem (Savior of the World) Ethiopian Orthodox Church of Boston will be celebrating the Ethiopian Orthodox Annual Celebration of the Savior of the World Jesus Christ.
This is one of the most important celebrations during the year for our Lord Jesus Christ within the Ethiopian Church. His Grace Abune Abraham, the Archbishop of the Ethiopian Orthodox Tewahedo Church Northeast United States Archdiocese will be celebrating the Divine Liturgy and all are welcome, believers and non-believers, Ethiopian and others!
Divine Liturgy begins at 7:00 am at the Medhane Alem Church. This special celebration of our Lord will include the ancient and solemn chants of the Ethiopian Orthodox Church called "Mahlet" which means "Praise" in Ge'ez, known as Ethiopia's "Latin."
