Hey a tip wud be to hold a stick behind ur back and it should pull ur shoulders and arms back . You will find it hard to dance but this is how i learned to keep my arms back . Hope that helps you :)

Hi glorious83 I am learning the Three Sea Captain and wondering if you know it.P.S. any tips on posture i have a little problem keeping in my arms when dancing i would be grateful for any advice many thanks

@siobhan1234ful - I dont know the Three Sea Captains I'm afraid, would like to learn it thought!
Maybe try keeping your shoulders back & this should help to straighten your arms a little. Sometimes the more aware you are of a problem the worse it can become so I think just being aware of them when you are dancing & keep practasing will help.

I am learning this dance right now. I really like the traditional dances. You have the same trouble I do -- the back foot loses turn out. It's pretty noticeable for you, because you have great turn out, then the back one wanders....why does that happen?

Yeah I know! Its really annoying...I think its prob down to how the feet naturally turn in or out. I guess practice makes perfect though :)
