Pwnthrough of a less than impressive fps, brought to us by Groove Games and Brainbox games. It was brought to the shelves in the year 2005 for PC and the original Xbox, and it acheived freeware status very quickly. This is widely considered by many to be one of the worse shooters ever released. Metacritics' negitive reveiws chewed it up pretty badly. Strangely enough, there are hundreds of custom maps and mods being released, and people still play the deathmatch and co-op modes as we speak.
Acting as a prelude upon the events of the movie of the same name, the lead role is a country hillbilly by the name of Jack. Go figure. One day, his electricity goes out in his living room. Then his phone is dead. He looks out the window and sees a bloody person outside. When this bloody person happens to be a zombie who wants to eat his brains, Jack finds himself outnumbered by an entire army of zombies. As he makes his way through his farm, and eventually New York City, Jack beats down the zombie hordes, one at a time. Its stated in the game that he's intent on reaching Road to Fiddler's Green. Ironically, I think that means death.
As you can see, the A.I. is pretty bad, graphics are nothing special, and I have to clip the video at certain points because the game would freeze while trying to load the zombies onto the screen. Good riddence. Still, I was cracking up at the drunk zombies struggling to catch their meal, and as I said before there are tons of player groups who still play online. This is an unintentionally funny game that I'll chalk it up as been worthwhile.....but just barely.
The music in this video is NOT from the game. Because my copy did not ship with the game music (and because the soundtrack sucks anyways), I put in some of my original tracks from a Poser 8 movie "Fiction". If you like them, send me a PM and I'd be more than happy to send it over to you. :)
