1992 Mazda Protege LX autocross

This Protege has all season street tires, KYB struts with Intrax lowering springs and Hawk HP+ pads on stock rotors.

The autocross was located at the Superfly Sunday car show hosted by Eurovagens in NE Ohio. If you live nearby and are interested the show and autocross is on Sunday evenings at Rolling Acres Mall in Akron, OH and starts at 6pm. $8 for autocross, free for show.

What do you think about the second gen proteges for autocrossing?

@thetrailbrake I would stick to first and third gen proteges, 2nd gen is not as good.

What is the front and rear suspension design?

@thetrailbrake The car has MacPherson struts, independent front and rear suspension with stabilizer bars. I think it handles fine compared to the double wishbone suspension of the Miata.

@thetrailbrake The great people at Mazda defiantly knew what they were doing when they designed this car. For its time this was a very good car and can still outperform many newer cars.

@codic3s yeah I was thinking about running one of these in Hstock hopefully the Mini coopers will get pushed out of that class and i think a protege has a shot at a real title.
