Holmes is miffed because Watson has a life outside of detective work, whereas Holmes really doesn't.

Also--Watson had to research the symptoms of syphilis? Isn't he a medical doctor??

@GreenDesert Heh heh... Watson don't understand fully, because he is to much of a gentleman! Holmes have spent alot of time with the working and poor class, so he acts a little like them. Apart from that: I don't think he fully likes the richer. So it's a class colide, or hes just trying to be funny. Heh heh... :)
