But people of India still feel attachment to the entire country even if they dont know much about all parts! I am from North and great admirer of South India which was not defiled by Islamic invasions. And gr8 kings and empire which flourished there and preserved Indian civilization when it was under assault in North for centuries. I

@Saraswatipravah At least in Karnataka there is significant awareness of the history of India, which most of the time pertains to North India. Ask any Kannadiga a question about North India and most of them will express higher knowledge of the North than the Norths know about the South India. I use to feel a connection to the whole country but now I only feel connected to Karnataka. I respect North Indians and your culture is rich, but you people are just as alien to me as the British!
