  • Not 14, but 13 years old. The release year is 1947 but the shooting must be one to one and a half years earlier. What you see in the song was shot in 1946, when she was only 13 years old, and Raj 22 years old.

  • It is not a good (Bengali) practice to say " Dada " for much elder / aged persons. Dada is used just for addressing Big Brother / Anna / Bhayya . " Baboo " is added to such aged persons ( See Anand ) . Baaboo / Baboo mahaashay ( Moshaay ) . Kindly stop using Burmandaa or Anildaa etc. Burmanbabu must be 105 years , had he been with us. Please kindly take this in good spirit. I know we have great respect towatds them.- Sorry if it hurts- Arani Apparao-Hyderabad-A.P.

  • Wow he has done well...Sounds just like Mukeshji :)

  • Really nice song: RK has sung it well. 5 * without hesitation.

  • I would rather listen to him sing some of his songs than Mukesh! His voice was BETTER than Mukesh. Why didn't he practise more and sing for his films as well???? I do not understand...

  • This is a very RARE video. THanks a lot for posting!

  • It is history that the song is given by Dada Burman to be sung by Raj Kapoor himself. Thanks for posting this song.Otherwise there are no other recorded songs sung by Raj Kapoor and recorded on Rajkapoor either by Shankar-Jaikishen or Naushad or C.Ramchandra or Anil Biswas or any other music director.

  • Amazing! I could never imagin that raj kapoor sang so well. his voice quality is actually a lot like mukesh's. wonderful
