I did a couple of echappes, piques, a sad attempt of a burrey (sp) turn, some chane turns, all not holding on, and finally some preporations for pirruets (sp) holding on because I am not quite strong enough yet to do the preps on my own let alone do a complete turn. Please write in the correct spellings of these words so I can write them corectly and please no rude comments or I will delete them. Also this is my first time back en pointe after being off for a year to work on my technique. I also am very aware that my shoes are dead but i went to get fitten for a new pair and the lady put me in a new brand of shoes that are way too small and dig into the back of myy heal and leave a huge indent so i have to take them back to get new ones and I am going back to my original make and brand of shoe which are blach aspirations and I love them.

  • You are knuckling all the way. You have to focus on your sickling too. And straighten your knees

  • I have gotten new shoes that are not dead, those ones i was dancing in were deader than dead so I do not think I am knuckling in these ones like I knew I was in those old ones and I have a horrid habbit of sickling but am working super hard when I am in my flats in class.

  • Yeah they tend to just show up whenever I make a video. I am working on getting better classes start again in Sept.

  • and this was the first video I made without holding on to a barre

  • First off i hope ya feel better, 2nd who on early is trying to teach you pointe?! your not all the way on your box, and your jumping up instead of rolling up which can cause damage, to your feet, back, and ankles so please becareful!

  • Thanks for the advice, and I do not have a very good pointe teacher at all they do not go around to correct people very often and I am terrified I am going to get hurt but I do have a new paif of pointes that I can get up on the box better I think I just need to make a new vid.

  • How old are you? Because I'm 8 and can do fouettes!

  • Make sure to roll up it will help with weak ankles

  • You have a MAJOR, MAJOR problem of jumping up instead of pushing, jumping up onto pointe can be the most damaging thing for a dancer.

  • Dead shoes are not an excuse! You are sickling your foot to much which is perventing you from getting on your box. Also, if the teacher is not helping you, use your voice and ask. And if she does not... GET A NEW TEACHER!

  • -.-......

  • aww cute dog and ur cats tail is very.....black lol

  • You really need to strengthen your ankles more, stop sickling, get over your box, and straighten your legs/ankles.

  • tres joli coup de pied

  • Yeah no problem, your scared because your teachers aren't teaching you the proper techniques therefore your risk of injury is about 99.99% and if you want to do pointe maybe go somewhere else just for that style because otherwise thats cheaper than a TON of doctor bills and a life of injuries trust me.
