  • Tp clear things up its one from Boston, I think its based on the first one.

  • One of these statues heads that was cut off in 1776 is some where in a swamp near my home town.

  • The American Revolution had great affect on the English middle and lower middle classes, who were keen to weaken entrenched gentry privilege in government. Literary and Philosophical Institutes sprang up with libraries and speakers espousing equality, liberty and reform.

    It took the French Revolution to highlight how explosive such ideas could be, leading to Jacobinism. The government clamped down. Home Office spies were everywhere. War with France stimulated patriotism and loyalty to the King.
