Tail docking is unjustified mutilation to the spine, muscles, tendons, and 7 pairs of highly sensitive nerves. There are 3 reasons people give for it:
1.To avoid tail damage in working dogs who hunt through vegetation: So to prevent it from getting damaged, you damage it? Brilliant. Tail injuries occur in < 0.5% of working dogs.
2.The hair can be fouled by feces: Can feces not be removed by soap & water?
3.To maintain breed standards: Change the standards. Docking is banned in 60% of the world.
believe it or not my shnauzer had the dopest colors he had black at the roots and the tips were a yellowish orange but now at almost a year old he is black and silver
@Chise37 It's evident from the video you work for a breeder who unnecessarily docks tails. I thought you might want some info to take to work.
