Doctor Doom is indeed amazing. I'd say he's the most dangerous being on earth, and would be, if he could just let the Fantastic Four alone. However, Thanos is greater still, he's like Doom in space. The only way you can beat him is if he wishes to be defeated. Besides, he's acquired greater power than doom. Power from Silver Surfer versus the Infinity Gauntlet, which allows you to slap Galactus, around. He also got the "Heart of the Universe," which they said is even more powerful.

Didn't Doom acquire the beyonder's power? Wouldn't that put him on par vs thanos with the heart of the universe?

thanos is really powerful. and the only one that was able to put up a good fight was no other than DOOM! but remembering what if? secret wars i must say that. victor with infinity gauntlet and the beyonder's power was the most powerful character in marvel besides the living tribunal an the one-above-all. it would be tremendous if he would make an aparence as a playable character. in mvc 3

If you wanted to go act Thanos with two Dooms you might as well should have fought him with two apocalype's but you can't do that,you see he had to call Mephisto for some backup.

Can't remember off the top of my head. Check the Infinity MUGEN website (link on my channel page). Do a search for him there. Someone pointed me in the right direction there awhile ago, the post should still be up. PM me if having trouble.

Watch mode. AI vs. AI. Oh, also, since Thanos has Infinity Gauntlet his life and attack levels rise and fall with the different opponents (I was going more for story recreation here than straight up equal matches). Like in the comic version, Thanos gave himself just enough power to ensure victory, but limited his power enough to make it interesting. :-)
