Our atmosphere is a very diverse and interesting moving body. Even though it is relatively thin compared to gas giants like Jupiter, it still reveals some very interesting phenomenon. Watch as 3 distinct different layers of clouds each move in a different direction at the same time. This show how wind aloft change direction significantly at different altitudes in the atmosphere creating heavy turbulence and wind shear. Enjoy this time lapse video accompanied by beautiful music by Jason Ward.
