  • LEST WE FORGET

  • @Kehoe The man in uniform is a Gurkha. The Gurkhas, originally from Nepal, are a fully integrated unit within the British Army and are renown for their bravery. The woman next to him appears to be a nurse or other medical officer, the chevrons indicating some seniority and possibly working on the front-line. The others I can only see the faces of, but since the group is all of British Army, it is reasonable to assume that the other women have some army role. Google Gurkhas- it's fascinating.

  • It is indeed the Sunset bugle call, but the intermingled song defeats me, despite googling various lines from it. It may have been composed especially for the occasion and a search in the near future may yield some results.

  • And until we meet again, until we meet again, may God hold you in the palm of His hand.

We are proud of you, defenders of our countries and of our believes. We shall never forget you and the sacrifices you made for our civilization.

May you now rest in eternal peace with God Almighty. Amen

A very last Salute from a humble German

  • Beautiful ceremony to our brave boys...goodnight

  • AT THE GOING DOWN OF THE SUN AND IN THE MORNING.

    "WE WILL REMEMBER THEM"

  • I wonder how many people here in the US of A are keenly aware of the sacrifice made by some of those honored here in support of our President Bushe's private war in the mid-east. Very, very few and that's all the more the shame.we should feel.

  • For your sacrifices i thank you from the bottom of my heart. to every family that lost a loved one, i am sorry. Had men like you not given their lives my country would not be what it is today. You defeated evil and from the ashes rose a great nation......and now a friend. I will stand silent every year on the 11th

    Always Grateful,

    Man of Deutschland.

  • Dose anyone know what that Song is called at the end :) ??

  • @Nathanderweise8 There are some very wonderful German people in this world; and your earnest words reflect an impassioned heart for freedom and humanity. A sincere thank you, with love from Canada, Evy

  • @LetsPlay360style Sunset played by the vocals of the audience and the sound of the bugles by the royal marines

  • Does anybody know the name of the song that starts at about 6:05? Very emotional

  • Well, I'm back again, this time for a bit of help. Please explain the function, within the Brtish military, of the people shown from 4:09 to 4:11, espescially the 1st, 2nd and 4th. Thanks.
