Is there a specific reason why you don't just sculpt the face first, that way you dont have to wrap the body? I am just learning and trying to figure out the best technique. Thanks

This video is great. Would you mind if I asked you a few questions via email? I'm confused at how you make the armature stand properly. Do you glue it, put it onto a supporting peg? No one can seem to answer this basic question for me.

No glue, nothing other than aluminum foil wrapped around itself. Once you put the first layer of polymer clay on it the armature sticks together. Yet, it is still pliable. Check my profile, go to my website. You'll see a link to my Yahoo Group, come join us and ask all the questions you want.

I sculpt the face last because the face gets messed up when doing the rest of the body. By doing the body first, which has less detail than the face, I can preserve the facial features better.

These are old "snag it" avi files done a handful of years ago. Converting them to *.mv files makes them look herky jerky. If you look at the two part face sculpting video you'd see I shot that recently using my web cam, making those two vids look smoother. The plan is after converting and loading up the old avi files I'll be making new videos that will play smoother.
