Just a wayfaring stranger floating along the coast
He never really made it home

He likes to sing his songs in the city
Where the sights and the lights and everything is just so pretty
But at night, oh the sights when he closes his eyes

He sings all day long of the stretches of land
About laying down some seed and of digging with his hands
About finding a pretty lady to raise a lot of boys
But never has he moved on from the band
