"Mickey's Side Of The Story" (Subject of Male Rape)

set to a soundtrack of hodges' "my side of the story" this video explores DC Mickey Webb's struggles during his rape ordeal in episode 153 of The Bill.

this episode was so well written and directed and was so moving I just couldn't help but make a dedication to it. i only wish there were more episodes like this, and shows dealing with similar subjects. it is rare that such a subject is addressed and so well, which is sad, because it has severely affected so many lives.

chris simmons gives an extraordinary performance. Someone seriously needs to give this guy a starring role in something - his talent is being wasted on short appearances on a show among actors that can't really seem to live up to the kind of acting abilities he has displayed. what is wrong with UK casting directors? i'd hire him in a heartbeat, with the right roles of course.

simon rouse's acting is slightly questionable next to simmons, but it still works well and alex walkinshaw is really good and his presence is substantial, rather than dead weight.

@Yeppr if you are admitting to be a rapist you should get to a mental hospital. It doesn't matter if you have a genetic disorder. It's a reason, not an excuse. Chances are you are not gay. You have a better chance of having trouble discerning other peoples sexual interest in you because you have poor social skills and possibly a low IQ. You may also have an aggressive, hostile personality. You seek to control others behaviour and likely victim blame. You likely befriend victims.

@bloodiedXangel I always see the "power" argument thrown around so much, but I never really found it convincing. So many ways to show power over someone else (beatings, torture, etc.), but for some reason it has to be sexual?

I'm sorry, but the way I see it, nothing can possibly be any gayer than wanting to have sex with someone of the same gender, which is what all male on male or female on female rapists do. The only difference being that it's without consent.

@DevilMayhem666 yeah. gotta love it. they can keep on pretending that its such a "straight" world (and btw rape relates to sexual orientation in no way) but they are very very wrong. its like they want to determine the world is by telling what is; they don't tell about the "what isn't" because its way out of their money making agenda. Just for e.g. blacks just "weren't" in media in 1940s, and then just popped into existence a few years later cause these media bandits thought it was time.
