[ 弾幕風 Tutorial ] Custom player script [part I]

By lots of request and PMs I found some spare time to make this tutorial. I messed up the resolution so please forgive me =V

In case you do not care about the player script and just want to learn how to make spell card for your player then just view Part II, else enjoy.

This tutorial explains:
- How to make custom player scripts from scratch
- Creating your own custom player shot
- Learning how to script focus/unfocus shot type
- Part II explains how to add a spell card.

Remember t hat this tutorial requires you to have knowledge of:

umm sorry if this question sounds stupid but would it be possible to use the graze counter as an if statement condition? like say I want to make player shots stronger and have a bigger Area shot while the graze counter rises.

There is a function on the wiki that listens to whether the player has grazed or not. So you can use that. I cannot recall the exact name. You'll need to study that part to let your power grow as you graze.

ummm,... is this for th_dnh_ph3??? i just downloaded it (its teh new version) and the scripts won't work (teh scripts I downloaded)

Ah man, I always like rescripting different games, but most of the time I can't find a part of a tutorial on how to do more specific things (Like when I tried Lunar Magic for SMW, I could never find a tutorial for editing overworld pallets, which is strange), but thanks for this, it gives me enough information =3

hmmm... I just followed the instruction three times and it won't work for me...

I've already checked all of the brackets and so on, but there's no spelling mistake.

@KinkyOats Well, that figures, why couldn't it be something useless like SCROLL LOCK key. Anyways, there could be something stuck under the key. Heave you tried taking the key off and cleaning under it?
