OTTAWA MAYOR TRIBUTE TO MADAT KARA.
Madat Kara is one of our service delivery volunteers and he has been involved with Meals on Wheels as a volunteer fundraiser since 1999. Every year, he puts together a team of business people who organize events to raise funds for our organization. To date, his team has raised $165,000 and this year, Mr. Kara set his annual target at $20,000 in order to bring the accumulated donation to $185,000. The Gala Dinner and Dance fundraiser on May
6th, 2011 raised over $10,000.00
