  • BLENNY BLENNY BLENNY

  • also get a couple toothbrushes and start manually removing. Dr.fostersmith sell a decent battery brush. also Chintons ,nitrite snails, and turbogazer snails will have that cleaned up in no time. reefcleaners.o r g

  • throw a pound of chaeto in and call it a day

  • I had a bad algea problem in my 38 g. I wnet to the aquarium shop and bought 1 small yellow tang, a dozen snails, 20 hermit crabs, and a cleaner shrimp and it cleared up in 2 weeks.

  • i would just add some macro algae like Caulerpa to the tank, or add some macro algae like chaetomorphan to the sump and put a small 6500- 6700 k light on them so they can soak up all the extra nitrates/phos at night, and then add the cleaner crew,

  • Hrmm... What kind of water are you using? I bet it's your phosphates... either you're adding them, your skimmer isn't good enough, or you need more water changes with RO... keep doing water changes and they will slowly perish... how new is your tank?

  • when was your last lite change? they could be malfunctioning without you noticing

  • I'd move my power heads and put the rock to the center of the tank. Allowing the power heads to move water around eliminating dead spots.Place two heads up high and two down low on the left and right side of the tank. My yellow tang took care of the hair problem I had in less then two days.A sea hair is really good for hair algae also but becareful it doesn't get sucked in to the side of the power head like mine did.,.

  • first off join a forum to get some real advice. putting any tang in a 55gal is retarded. removing live rock or breaking down the tank will not help. algae is natural and will keep comming back unless you learn how to control it. keep po4 levels down and dont over feed. but running back your lights will not fix the problem only mask it. get some real algae eaters like a sea hair and mexican turbo snails, and dont over feed, change 10% water weekly

  • get many fish of the tang family underfeed just a bit so they eat more of the algae than the food i do that and ud think its bad but my tangs are mad healthy
