The girl acts like a boss, at least bossing him around right from the initial meeting. Imagine what would it be if they were to get married? The guy would be led like a puppy. Find it funny that the girl can ask "private questions" while the guy can't. If I were the guy, I would have left as soon as she said "no private questions".

@andreea81 The definition of love is wide and you just cannot go ahead and claim that people who marry through arrange marriage cannot find true love. If you come and stay here in India, you will be surprised to know that married couples here are most deeply in love compared to other countries.
You cant know and understand a culture without being a part of it.

there's a filmmaking glitch. during the conversations, it seems that the dialogues by both the women and the man have been spoken at different times. also, it seems as if the man is seeing the girl lip-sync. who has her hair tied, when she sees the man, and hair straight when the man sees her.
Good way to maintain steadiness, and be able to do good editing, but somehow the whole thing was distracting me.

@kannan80m Lol true. But dominant people need puppies like that and puppies find the ability to to dominate and take control very attractive. That's what I have observed.

This is how arranged marriages work in big cities and highly educated societies. The bride and the groom are given the liberty to see as many people as they like, talk to them and pick the one they want to marry. No body gets married to the first person their parents show.

Great couple. Honestly, for those who are under any misconceptions, this is how arranged marriages are in big cities and well educated societies. The bride and groom are given the liberty to get to know several people and then decide who they want to marry. Nobody is forced to get married to te one person their parents show.

@darkp85 Such stuff happens only in movies.

@braj87 : Well, it is reliable in India only to those families who adore the concept of Arranged Marriage and are passionate about it and even value it more than Love Marriage. Arranged Marriages are not best for people who are brought up with a non-arranged, high-ambitious, self-supporting kind of society. Because the latter usually keeps Arranged Marriage as a sort of back-up for their life, which in one way sounds selfish.

@raulverma "married couples here are most deeply in love compared to other countries." -- not because of Arranged Marriage, but because of their root culture, where at times couples even adjusted and dragged a relationship, though they never loved. Happiness in relation depends on how the couple can forgive and still accept each other, irrespective of their flaws. Arranged Marriage has nothing to do in that. Finding true love is sheer luck, never depends on whether a marriage is love or arranged

I appreciate the film from an acting perspective. Words usually sound nicer, when spoken in the films, but things happens quite differently in a real life. As the uploader states that 90% of the marriages in India are still arranged, the divorce rate is less, not because of the marriage is arranged, rather India has roots of least divorce which prevents in frequent divorce. Arranged marriage has nothing to do with that.
