The most efficient player in history would get his 3rd game over 40pts in just the 4th game of the young season. Larry Legend was his usual legendary self with a brilliant game - scoring 30 on 13-22 shooting and 9 assists. But wait, MJ would switch gears as he normally did against the greatest teams on the road. This time, he would hit 12 of his first 15 shots for 41 after 3 quarters in the hallowed Boston Garden - adding along the way a few moves we'd never seen before (as was the case with every game). With the outcome pretty much in the bag, MJ came in for two minutes in the 4th, hit one more three for the nail in the coffin, and bowed out. Time to rest those legs in 1992 at age 29. There was a dynasty to build.

(Sad to be reminded of sharp-shooter Reggie Lewis and what he might have become.)

  • hey hoopsencylopedia, you got the date wrong in this vid. This game was in 1991 not in 92'..you should change it

  • You're right - it happened on 11/6/91. However, the NBA year is 1992 which is what I use. Thanks.

  • nice game

  • @twellsO18 shut up

  • @TheDr3lee Bird would never say he was better than MJ even iff he were.

  • Reggie Lewis, Baltimore's Finest vs. Michael Jordan, The World's Greatest...Night after night, Year after year, MJ took on the best the NBA had to offer and outshined them ALL... His post game was so nasty there was no point in attempting to defend him down there...

  • jordan vs a washed up big 3!

  • 3:57

    sick!

  • R.I.P. Reggie Lewis

  • who is jordan?

  • I think his best year is 1988, he averaged 35ppg, but 54% FG.

    In 1988, the league's eFG% was about 48%.

Which means MJ was beyond the league average.

  • Lol. I heard Rick Fox was a ho-mongering legend in UNC. Dude was snatching bitches left and right.
