  • "I went to college were I studied the Bible for 5 years. And I can tell you, no where does it say they were one in purpose."

then u should be aware that the Nicene trinity isn't taught in there either. The unity of purpose is quite clear in those pages, your 5 years must have been in a college teaching protestant or catholic views of the bible, not the bible itself if you claim such a thing.

  • @minpinlover26 - you do not understand the Bible, for Christ and the Apostles all were very clear that the Father is separate from the Son. It was not Christ who taught they were on in body, it was the corrupt Greek philosophy that created a tri-une god out of thin air. One day you will see for yourself. Until then, I would recommend you ask God the Father yourself, not the teachings you received from other who received their teachings from others, etc.etc. all of whom were taught incorrectly.

  • @LightGnolaum I think you meant to reply to @minpinlover26 - not me. My post was the one that begins with "it amazes me how people...."

  • @the9family Then to whom did Christ pray unto in the Garden of Gethsemane?

I'm not putting you down, my friend, by simply inviting you to pray about such a question.

We pray to the Father. Christ is the Son of God. Son. God the Father, Elohiem, is the Father of Christ.

  • @the9family When God declared in Isaiah, There is only one God. He said that there was not God before him and no God shall come after Him. Isaiah 9:6 says who Christ is "For unto us a child is given, unto us a child is born and the govt. shall be upon his shoulders, for He will be called , wonderful counselor, prince of peace, the MIGHTY GOD, EVERLASTING FATHER." I went to college were I studied the Bible for 5 years. And I can tell you, no where does it say they were one in purpose.

  • Great talk, I want more talks from McConkie on youtube!

  • It amazes me how people today don't even bother to check out the history of their own faith, and the "church" in general. It IS possible to find how Greek Philosophy corrupted the Christian concept of God by introducing the "trinity" etc. it just doesn't make sense when you read the Holy Bible. The Bible itself teaches that that they are not "one" in body, only "one in purpose".

  • It amazes me how people change doctrine to justify sin.
