@MAnnaconduit1 The movie is about the LEGEND of Wyatt Earp and his Vendetta Ride. It's not a documentary. It's an exercise in mythology just like Beowulf or King Arthur. The fact that such legends are unlikely to be true doesn't make them any less of great stories, stories that tell us something about how we want to see ourselves as being.
Besides, to borrow a line from another great western movie, "This is the West, sir. When the legend becomes fact, print the legend!"
