UCL AhlulBayt Society welcomes back Sayed Ammar Nakshawani for "Hajj In the Eyes of Dr Shariati", exploring the act of pilgrimage through the eyes of this great scholar and the physical and spritual journey of Hajj
Interesting presentation. The hand gestures would be quite engaging for a live audience.
I liked his comparison of Hajj, and the scene of a theater: Shariati talks a bit more about returning from this role play. He says: "Many actors became so involved in their act such that they decided to never come out of it, until they died playing that role". "Are you back from Hajj now", he asks, "to become the old you again?"
