Hockey legend Marcel Dionne was in Sylvan Lake, Alberta on January 26 for an annual pond hockey tournament.
Dionne took to the ice, showing a little of what made him one of the Los Angeles Kings best players of all time.
Dionne also talked openly about what he sees as the trouble with modern-day NHL players.
My Scottish reccy ice hockey team were over in Niagra in 2008 when he invited us over after hours to see his memoribilia and have a few beers.Marcel couldn't have been any nicer and even came along and played in a friendly game with us later in the week .What a legend how many nhl players would do that now a days. Thanks Marcel for making a lot of guys very happy to say that they have played alongside an NHL hall of famed.

so many nights my dad and I went to the LA Forum and watched Marcel perform every game to the top of his ability, always acting with class despite carrying the Kings on his back much of the time without the acclaim he deserved. Thanks Marcel you are one of hockey's finest for the ages. Greg from the coolies
