A not exactly fair trial test for Propaganda purposes. The Tiger and the Panther against a US Grant Tank...guess who looses- Anyway even with the later US tanks, it was quantity against quality...and quantity won..

@TheGoddzilla507 just with the exception of the historians. I can't say that they are nobody but for sure it is the political intention that they do not speak always to loud. Lesson from my history teacher in 1988 (full communist era for me): the history is read between lines and preferably from the true authentic documents and not citations from other books.

The Germans had the advantage of testing their weapons during the 1936 Spanish Civil War....they got trial and error early...America had to figure it out later

Its not fair to compare a M3 Lee to a Panzer V or better....but a M4A3 with its thicker armour or a M36 with its 90mm gun, could compete with and destroy any Nazi or Soviet tank

@pratty44 I think actually that at the time of election of Adolf Hitler, nobody knew or expected what happen after.

Also a lot of Germans of Mosaic religion who fought in WW1 for Germany voted for Hitler as well. Hitler had an excellent PR campaign in one of the most difficult times for Germany (The Great Economic Crisis) and his straight promises of job offering and order seduced a lot of people. What happen after is a history lesson about how much you should trust political promises.

@Lightspit your wrong the first ever civilian bombings took place in dresden the london bombings where in retaliation bombadeer haris ordered the bombing of dresden in order to break the german spirit (as they where winning the war at that time in lightning speed ) history is harsh to the losing side ! what you say is what youve been deducated into thinking is true !
