Each game should keep its own style; if you need action RPG you should try Star Ocean or Kingdom Hearts. The ATB system has always been the hallmark of Final Fantasy, and I think it should keep it (thats probably why many pepole didnt like FF XII system quite much).

you know, why do i want graphics when the gameplay is extremely boring? Plus the battle system... it does not help to make thing more interesting. liked the story a little , not the best, but it pass and the graphics are nice, but this is not a FF game. People who have played ff games in the old days knows that this is the worst FF game. i know the 12 was not that good, but it was not that boring. The worst thing they did was to make ff 13 linear and with cities.

The battle system is the worst, the linear stages are horrible, no interactive cities, to much talk in the cut scenes, you just do the same in the battle until the finals chapters, the shop system is the worst, the crystalis sistem.... you have no alternative of choosing what skills you want, so what was the point on doing the crystalis? the worst ff

I went and got this game the day it came out.. it is honestly the best final fantasy game ever, or actually, in my opinion the best game ever. The graphics are epic. Wonderful gameplay. I do not like the battle system though? This is the first final fantasy game i've ever played. Its the best ever. Its worth $60 .

as far as this FF goes..im a lil bit skeptical to be honest...it looks great but Square-Enix is changing up the battle system so often that its hard to find one i like now...and although alot of gamers didnt appreciate how good it was...this game kinda reminds me of FFVIII...basesd upon all of the trailers i've seen....and the guy with the trench coat and skully kinda reminds me of Seifer from the remodel they did on him in KH2...

people complaining about the changed battle system... get used to it. With all the advanteges of technology and with all the things the PS3 and xbox are capable of, the battle system will probably never be the same again. And look at this! This looks amazing!
