You see, a lot of atheists wonder why atheists such as myself consider the Christian mind set STUPID over a mere difference of opinion. I respect opinions whether or not they differ from mine so long as its logical. Maybe its a logical point but from a different view. But many Xtian opinions derive from pure ignorance, assumption or a dogmatic law based soley on faith. They dont know wtf theyre taking about yet still make an opinion & those opinions deserves no respect.

I also want to add that his insistance that his religion keeps him from being a man-whore is also an indicator of the crazy philosophy of evangelicals: "Sure, I want to go to orgies, rape, kill, cheat on my wife, and molest kids, but I'll go to hell if I do." Even BEFORE I was a Christian, I did the right thing because it was the right thing. Now, as a Universalist Christian, I follow God and do the right thing simply because it is the right thing. He does it because he feels forced to.

My own views on homosexuality fall between the two main opinions, but I remember seeing this ChristopherL guy on a horrible fundamentalist website called blessed quietness. Absolutely horrible stuff. Anyway, just wanted to point out that the way he words the first few sentences he says is indicative of the inner perversion in so many evangelicals. They HAVE to preach about how great marital sex is that to them sex has become something of a sacrament. Which is why I left the SBC.

Why doesn't Chris attack deeper issues as in child molestation in churches, where the bigger problem exists instead of gays, is it because he was turned down by a man? Was that his conclusion that gays have a choice. But as Chris noted earlier that he doesn't just sleep with just any woman, there are a lot of selective gays out there as well that doesn't hop on anything, but surely on both sides of the sexual fence there are exceptions.

It isn't a matter of knowing more about homosexuality than an actual gay person. Chris' point to you guys, & I agree with it completely, is that every single person has sexual desires. Whether they are straight or otherwise isn't the focus. The focus is whether one acts on the desire or not. We either say yes or we say no.

What do u say to a gay person who is unable 2 find a sex partner in life? Do they remain abstinant or do they go rape someone to fulfill this urge of theirs?
