Beatrice Leonard - radio personality and host of "Travelers With Disabilities Having Fun" - interviews Joe Podlasek, Executive Director of the American Indian Center of Chicago, about the AIC's annual powwow. Held in the month of November, it is the largest gathering of Native American culture and traditional performers from all over the United States. Their discussion covers everything from history, fashion, art, food, and the traditions and contemporary additions to the powwow itself.

This year, the 56th Annual Powwow will be held November 7 and 8, 2009 at the University of Illinois Chicago Pavilion, 1150 West Harrison Street. For more information, visit http://www.aic-chicago.org or call 773-275-5871.
