Beautiful Italian Song meaning "Ungrateful Heart"
I have written out the Italian and the English lyrics because I think it is important to know the meaning of the song when listening to the beautiful Melody

Italian:

Catari, Catari, pecché me dici sti

parole amare?
Pecché me parle e 'o core me, turmiente catari?
Nun te scurdà ca t'aggio date 'o core, Catari
Nun te scurdà!
Catari, Catari ché vene a dicere
stu parlà ca me dà spaseme?
Tu nun'nce pienze a stu dulore mio,
Tu nun'nce pienze tu, nun te ne cure.
Core, core 'ngrato.
T'aie pigliato 'a vita mia,
Tutt'è passato e
nun'nce pienze chiù!

English

Catari Catari, Why do you address me in such bitter words?
Why do you speak only to torment me, Catari?
Do not forget that I once gave you my heart.
Catari, do not forget!
Catari, Catari, why do you speak to make me suffer agony?
You never think of this pain of mine.
You never think of it, you don't care.
Ungrateful heart,
You took possession of my life,
And now it's over,
You no longer think of me.

  • without the guitar!!!!!

  • you should of played it without the backround!!!

  • Awesome man!

  • Gets better every time I hear it Tom.

  • Maestro Caruso sung it with all his heart put into it.

    very well played, there mate

  • It's not one of Domingo's songs as if nobody else ha sung it. This is beautiful playing of the Mandolin and is so appropriate for these simple songs instead of the huge souped up orchestras which are used by top tenors to belt this stuff out. Superb thoughtful classical and intimate playing

  • Well done!!:))

  • BRAVO!!!

  • i could sing for you....on your mandolino...we could make some good money outside a church in Florence. ciao
