One of my favorite bands of all time. Thin Lizzy should be in the R N R Hall of Shame due to the influence that they brought in with the twin lead guitar sound of Brian Robertson and Scott Gorham, which evolved bands like Iron Maiden and Judas Priest to the forefront of the New Wave of British Heavy Metal. Love all of their albums and I listen to their music constantly. R.I.P. Phil and Gary. Killer band.
I had the privialge to see them live opening for Nazareth in Waterloo Iowa in 1979. I've seen 100 concerts and this was one of the best. It was the "Black Rose" tour and not only was Thin Lizzy great, but I discovered Gary Moore. Fantastic show! R.I.P. Phil and Gary, we hardly knew ya.
I love Thin Lizzy to death. I will say though that after this I'll never look at Phil the same way after this. I always looked at him as a true rock n' roll badass, which I still think he was, but its sort of nice to see his human side.
