I've always been the girl that wouldn't think
to fall in love, as all my friends went through
boyfriends as if they were a pair of new socks
I enjoy being single, my best friend Demi was
one of the reason I hated the idea of one guy
having such power Over me she has been in
love with the same guy since freshman year
and all he manages to do is break her heart
over and over again but she still Sticks with him
which I totally don’t understand! But everything
I just said changed when I met him Last year
when summer began he captivated me and I fell
in love yes I actually did but just to have my heart
broken....here's how it all began

"Demetria can you hurry up!" I yelled
at her from the bottom of the stairs

I finally saw her making her way down
"you know I hate it when you call me by
my full name! she said annoyed

"well it's your fault for taking forever we
are Just going to a party at Taylor's house
we are not going to prom!" she glared at me

"there's no crime for wanting to look extra
Beautiful for my boyfriend" she smiled

I rolled my eyes "just pray that he notices"

I turned back to look at her "I'm so sorry
Demi I didn't mean that"

She shrugged "yea yea let's just go before
You become more annoyed and take it
All out on you amazing best friend!"

we finally arrived and locked arms together
as we walked inside there was a lot of people
Everyone was already getting a little wild
Which is to be expected since it is the first
Day of summer

"Babe!" I heard Demi say

I turned my gaze to the direction she was
Looking at and there was Joe talking or
Should I say flirting with Chelsea he turned
And smiled walking over to us and giving
Demi a kiss I still can comprehend why she
Is still with him

"hey Selena" he said

I rolled my eyes "hi" I turned to Demi
"I'm going to go find Taylor"

"okay" she said while being drag away
from me by Joe oh how I hate him!

I made my way through the crowd till I
finally Spotted her which was easy since
she's so tall

"Hey Tay" she hugged me "where's Demi?" I
Sat down beside her "with Joe duh!"

She laughed "right!" I laughed also

I was having fun till Lautner came a long
that's Taylor's boyfriend we call him Lautner
since his name is also Taylor I know confusing!

"Hey baby" he said to her while giving her
A kiss then turned to look at me

"oh hey Selena" I smiled "Hey Lautner"

"let's go dance!" Taylor said sounding
Excited to Lautner he smiled and they
Both walked away to the dance floor

I stayed seated on the couch and for the
first time in well...forever I actually felt
alone almost everyone here has a boyfriend
or just a random boy to give them attention
Maybe I have been to hard on myself about
The whole being in love thing that I've been
missing out on a normal teenage girl life

"umm you mind if I sit here?" I looked

And you could say I'm speechless, his deep
Chocolate eyes kept looking at me waiting
For my answer as I just continued to look
At him like an idiot

"do you mind?" he asked again

I finally shook my head "um..n..no..
not at all"

He chuckled a little and sat down I could
Tell that I blushed so I didn't even want
To turn and look at him

"I'm Nick" I heard him say

I finally got the courage to look at him he
Was giving me a smiled that would make
Any girl melt "Selena" I said and I don’t
Know how but I manage to smile back

I felt a little awkward so I decided to say
Something "so are you new I've never
Seen you around here before?"

He leaned forward so I could hear him
More clearly "yea I just moved here,
I don't know if you know Joe Jonas
Well his my cousin"

His a Jonas I thought to myself "oh
Really yea I do know him, his my
Best friends boyfriend"

He smiled "that's cool" he kept looking
At me "so um are you going to go to
Richmond High next year?"

"yea" he answered "then I'll be seeing
You there" I smiled

Was I flirting, is that even flirting ugh!

"you know Selena is a really pretty name
Unique to be exact" I just blushed again I
Know it "Nick is a cool name too"

He chuckled, ugh! Did I really just say that
I turned away from him and looked down

"that was cute" I heard him say I turned to
Look at him again "what?" I asked

"you" he replied

Okay now I know that I'm red as a tomato
He kept his eyes on me gawd is he cute
His perfect lips, hair and his even sweet
And nice

*ring ring*

His phone started ringing he took it out
Of his pocket and he quickly answered

"Hey Miley" he answered

I looked away my hopes came crashing
down of course he has a girlfriend, I mean
he can't possible look the way he does and
not have a girlfriend
