frigidaire tub seals are complex. they typically wear out from too much detergent, beach goers or the machine gets up there with age.
you do understand if you "fixed" the seal and the machine flooded your home your insurance would give you nothing right?
and i hate it when home owners dont have a clue, do this stuff, then call me in to fix it. and do alot more damage to their washer than if they had just called me in the first place. its sad you chucked it, it would have outlasted your lg

i liked it. you basically showed how to take it apart which is a major accomplishment, man or woman, skilled or not. you showed the leak and part involved. putting it back together is always up to the viewer (me) anyway. loved your final solution as a great option cuz wtf, sometimes better to just get a new one and avoid the hassel. thanks for posting.
