The gray 4 door Toyota across the intersection never saw me...thank god for the Air Zound horn. I guess it is true, drivers just dont see bicyclists.

Ehhh. did'nt you have to let the car go first? Here in my country (The Netherlands), traffic that has the "short bend" or cross the road (I could'nt see what she wanted), go first.

it was my turn. I was in motion and in the street before she reached the intersection. She did not even come to a complete stop, and lastly, she did not look in the direction she was driving (where i was). So she was in the wrong 3 times over. Still would not have mattered if she ran me over and i died. after that incident, i dont "take" the right of way even if it is mine. right or wrong on a bike, you will never win a collision with a car.

@bris2world Big words from a person sitting safe behind their computer screen. If a motorist blatenly does something wrong to me, and I catch them at the next stop or light, they're getting yanked out of the car and pummeled! If you re-read my previous post, you'll see that I clearly state that I avoid a fight with a car at all costs, but if opportunity arises at the next light/stop, it's on because they no longer have a huge glass and steel advantage.

@thehotshirtguy2008 Some cyclists also have a permit to carry concealed firearms. Additionally, I largely avoid the fight with the car, especially if I see that there's a stop ahead where I can ambush the over zealous driver. I learn to pick my fights when I don't have a huge disadvantage, but ambushing and yanking motorists out of their cars at intersections is a rather effective tactic. I'm not some geek pencil neck rider. 6'3"/189m 210lbs/95kg. It's effective in suburbs and city.
