You know, we're living in a time where we are literally connected and able to use the medium of the internet to bring meaningful change!
With this organization, pushing for ...let’s face it...civil rights and Ron Paul looking to allow states to regulate the use of marijuana....things could be really great!
It's like a "Technology renaissance" of the American culture! Ron Paul 2012!!!

@freebob3 I disagree, there has to be regulations for this industry to succeed. There's no way it will become "completely legal" without taxes being brought in to the state. If we regulate, tax and control cannabis, it will starve the murderous cartels of their main revenue source, which should be one of the main objectives to accomplish in ending prohibition. Almost every other industry has some sort of regulation, and cannabis will be no different.

@IdolHans Well, any amount of revenue is better than none, on that I think we can agree. Billions or even just millions in revenue is certainly better than the multi-billions/trillion dollars (cost of drug war since 1970) spent on enforcement and justice system costs which just goes down the drain.

Legalization with Regulation is more effective then Prohibition
-
Alcohol and Tobacco have proven that Legalization with Regulation is more effective then Prohibition especially since the Health Risks of Marijuana are similar or less then Alcohol and Tobacco. Which is one reason why Legalization with Regulation of Marijuana makes sense.
Also Legalizing with Regulation of Marijuana would also save Law Enforcement a lot of resources that they could use to bring down dangerous Criminals.

I favor legalization but I doubt if the projected revenue will be as high (no pun intended) as they think it will be. Still I favor legalization because it will put the drug bums out of work and make them go get real jobs.
"What good would legalization be for hard working people".
Nice streotyping there mate but this "pothead" has not been out of work for 35ys and has raised two kids who now have their own kids. Hard working people like me should not have to worry about being busted just because we prefer a spliff to a pint.
Oh and it would pay for things that benifit YOU through taxes collected and make it cheaper for ME. Everyone wins except organised crime.
