Starship troopers 2 was an ungodly abomination of man kind. And Starship troopers 3 was ok, bring back the camp factor and poked fun at facism like the first movie but when they started talking about religon, thats when i tuned out

@fearofthemind I loved the first one because of all the epic battles and solid story, my fav scene was the battle of Whisky Outpost. ST 2 sucked hard balls because it went completely off course of the story, it was just a bunch of idiots in a tower with an old man running in circles screaming until the end when they all die. I loved the third one because of the new Marauder suits, but when the religion thing came in, I only really paid attention to parts like when Jingo got owned.

@fearofthemind ST3 was an update to the message. It was to coincide with the Afghan war, and fortunately it applies to both sides. It was reflecting on the religious fundamentalists who have become an increasing problem in the US. Themes of religiously justified brutality in war and the desire to harm those who worship "the wrong god". The bugs also have a religion that motivates their war much like the terrorists in real life. It seemed like a good topic for the film.
